Senior Pastor Jim Bachmann is a native of Nashville.  He graduated from John Overton High School in 1973. Subsequently, he attended and gradauted with honors from Belhaven College in Jackson, MS. He then attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Clinton, MS. He was called to serve as the associate pastor at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church from 1980–1991 before assuming the leadership of a fledgling church plant in his hometown, Covenant Presbyterian Church.  After 25 years of fruitful service, Jim acceped the ambitious challenge to lead a new work at Westminster Chapel. Jim has been married to his high school sweetheart, Kristen, for 40 years. They have five grown children and seven grandchildren. Jim loves his family, his dog, golf, tennis and sports in general.

 

 

Mr. David German serves as assistant pastor and minister of music. He has been a church musician for 40 years. David graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1975, received his B.A. from Olivet College in 1977 and his M.M.E. from Winthrop University in 1991. He has served at Highland Park Baptist in Southfield, MI, Calvary Church and Christ Covenant Presbyterian in Charlotte, NC, Grace Presbyterian in Peoria, IL, and Director of Music Ministries at Covenant Presbyterian in Nashville. He began his ministry at Westminster Chapel in January 2017. He and his wife, Kathleen, have been married for 35 years and have four children, two grown and two in college. David is a master carpenter and enjoys cooking.

 


 

Assistant Pastor Arch Warren attended Abilene Christian University and served as a minister in various Churches of Christ until entering the business world. Over a period of thirty years, his experience included pharmaceutical sales and management, management consulting, market research, and fast-food executive. Arch moved his family from New York to Chattanooga in 1971 and were introduced to Reformed theology by friends and acquaintances. Their lives were radically changed. Arch was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America in 1987. He served as pastor of Sweetwater Valley Presbyterian Church near Athens, TN, for three yeares and Zion Presbyterian Church in Columbia, TN, until his retirement in 2010. Arch and his beloved wife, Joyce, had 7 children and were married 63 years, 9 months, and 5 days until her death on February 8, 2016. Arch enjoys telling tall tales and reading—in that order!


 

Scholar-in-residence, David Lawrence, preached for several congregations of the Church of Christ from 1960–1999. Additionally, he served with En-gedi Ministries (a Reformed ministry) from 1999–2001. David has a Ph. D. from the University of Kansas (1984) with an emphasis on Renaissance and Reformation history. He taught at Wichita Collegiate School from 1971–1988 and Lipscomb University from 1986–2011 where he served as professor of history. His classes included Greek, Roman, Medieval, Renaissance-Reformation, Byzantine, and Middle Eastern history as well as European political thought. He and his wife, Alice, have had the opportunity of several lengthy periods of living, stuyding, and teaching in Europe. They married in 1960 and have two sons and three grandchildren. David enjoys playing the piano, model railroading, traveling, and making movies.


 

Miss Anita Murphy directs our Preschool Ministry. She graduated from Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN with a Bachelor's degree in Church Vocations and an emphasis in Christian Education. Anita has worked with children for almost 17 years and loves every moment! She currently works at McKendree UMC Daycare as a preschool teacher during the week. When she isn't with her precious preschoolers, Anita loves to bake and be with friends and family.

 

 

 

 


Miss Angie Thomas serves as our administrative assistant. Having attended Moody Bible Institute and Concordia University in Chicago, Angie has worked as the Music Administrator for Moody Radio and the Event Coordinator for the Sacred Music Department at Moody Bible Institute. More recently, she was the Worship Director for First Baptist Church in Geneva, IL and First Baptist Church in Wheaton, IL. Angie was also a professional member of the world-renowned Grant Park Festival Chorus in downtown Chicago for 10 years. She moved to Nashville in September 2016 and now performs with the Nashville Symphony Chorus and in a variety of other venues around the city. Angie enjoys spending time with her sister Abbie, who lives in Green Hills, and playing with her blind dog, Chief.
